Grapevine
I told my friend Bert that Brad told me that he was told by "someone" who heard from a very reliable source that the fitness room was going to be shut down. This is a very dangerous chain. I'm sure a few more somebody's telling somebody else will eventually result in the gossip that our building is being shut down and we're all getting laid off. I have heard that rumor several times before, I bet it started just like this one.

No kidding! I've felt the sting of rumors myself. I use to wear WIGS when time was short and Hubby needed a polished wife at his side. When we moved and I showed up for open house at the school, a couple of mother's started a rumor that I had cancer! Of course, I didn't and when people found out I didn't they were MAD AT ME! I never started the rumor, or even pretended to be dying...yet some of the women have kept their distance from me, thinking I was a liar!!!! Humpff!!!!

The rumor mill can be a funny place sometimes. Dangerous, but funny!

Wow, I'm surprised I managed to follow that. I just love how rumors spread.

Those were all the little phrases I could think of this early in the morning without coffee. Sorry.
