Summer Time Busy Time

The summer is already slipping away from us. We haven't even made it to the cabin yet. Probably won't make it until 4th of July. This coming weekend is out because we are having a garage sale this Saturday and Jillian has a birthday party to go to. And then it's 4th of July. I can't even believe it!

I also need to get some wedding things done. Like soon. I need to get my save the dates out before it's too late to send them because I promised Brian's mom I would, I need to pick out a cake and not stress over the stupid cake, I need to buy my dress, I need to pick out the bride's maid dresses with all of my bride's maids, engagement pictures in July... So much to do and I just don't know how to fit in.

And then there are the kids' activities. This week Jordan is staying with his grandparents, next week is 4th of July, some other grandparents might want to take them on a weekend trip sometime in July, my sister wants them to come visit her Spokane sometime this summer, we are thinking about camp the week of July 18th and then we probably want to spend a little time with them. Sometime. Maybe.

I think I might need to make a list. I hate lists. And I don't really follow my lists even if I make one, but I think I might need a list.

Ugh!

The Cast is Off

Woo Hoo! I'm still a little swollen and bruised but it's not as noticeable with out the cast on. And the nose looks so much better. Already. Even with the swelling and bruising. Now I have to go back to work. Boo!!!

My Conclusion:

It is easier to break a nose than to fix a nose. I'm pretty sure. It's probably just as painful, but there were these stints up my nose that were taken out today and that was pretty awful. However, the doctor said he was able to get my nose straighter than he thought he might. And also added that the bridge of my nose was pretty crushed. Which sounds pretty bad. I'm sure it is because when my nose was broken it hurt pretty bad.

I've been drugged up for the last three days, but I'm feeling really good right now. So probably no more painkillers for me. Of course, I say that when the effects of the painkillers are still lingering. I'll just play it by ear. They knock me out, though and I prefer to be conscious. Anyway, so far so good.

Tomorrow I will take the kids to the pool even though I look like a freak show, with my eyes all swollen and bruised and the cast and stitches on my nose. But they really want to go.

Nose Job

I'm getting my nose fixed tomorrow. I'm so excited. For one, my nose will be straight and I guess I'll be able to breathe better. Two, I get the whole next week off of work. The bad part-I'm going to have a cast on my nose and I'm not sure if I'm going to feel that great. But all of the kids are out of school and the weather is suppose to be perfect and I think that I will feel well enough to function. And by function I mean do normal every day things. And maybe I can clean out a closet or two and take the kids to the pool and depending on when the cast comes off I can up to the cabin. I am so excited!

Except that I still have to have surgery, which is kind of scary and I know tomorrow night I won't feel well at all. But my Brian and Jilly bean will take care of me tomorrow night and this weekend if they need to.

Poor little Jillian hurt her neck on Sunday. I have no idea what she did but all day Sunday she was unable to turn her head. It was a pretty sad sight. The night before I let her put on Darby's old cheerleading uniform she wore one year on Halloween and I bought her some pom poms. She was doing all these cheers and moves, I wonder if she just pulled something.

We also watched Whip It this weekend. I thought it was pretty good. Even Brian watched it with me. I just love Drew Barrymore. She's so cute. I do not, however, have any desire to sign up for a Roller Derby team, though. Looks too painful for me. I'm a wimp.

That's really all I have.
